As All Hallows day nears, all sorts of supernatural and haunting apparitions come to their own special incarnations of half life and reveal above ground.
After almost a year of storing up their frights, delights and supernatural sights in the eerie confines of local basements, garages and attics –where they might spend the better part of the year ruminating what’s next when next released to terra firma– it’s showtime for these dismaying denizens of delight and dire.
Often thought of as creatures of the dark who ply their chills and thrills long after the sun has set, they also flaunt their frights during the day, as natural light and shadows play an enhancing photographic magic of their own.
Here is a brief look through the lens of just some of this year’s community display of Halloween highlights as folks decorate their abodes for the queasy, sometimes unnerving joy of all, especially the younger set who can’t wait for the candy cavalcade to come during Trick Or Treat.
